CHANGE...

Sitting on the railing near a lake I was enjoying the panoramic view of the calm and shining lake in the background of loafty mountains. Every weekend I get to enjoy this view after a weeklong tight schedule. The whole routine feels very comfortable and gives a good peace type feeling. I have been doing this from past one and a half year and all my friends in this place formed a great company. I am enjoying this inertia in life... a peaceful inertia.
That day while sitting on the railing I was observing few labores pushing a stuck cart/trollly on the sloppy road besides the railing. When they had just started down the sloppy road it seemed an easy task to them.. even for me. They were enjoying the peaceful inertia of the effortless work (the way I am enjoying my daily routine). But the inertia lasted only till the slope was manageable. They soon found themselves dragged by the cart/trolly (instead of pushing it :-)) because of the unanticipated steep incline. The CHANGE of slope made their life miserable. Had they anticipated this before starting they could have made the peaceful inertia(comfort) last longer. I realized that I am also in the similar situation enjoying my inertia.
CHANGE is immiment and one has to face it sooner or later. But a anticipated/preplanned change gives an opportunity to get along with it. It gives some time for conditioning of mind to face it and make it favourable. As against this an unanticipated change can be really disheartning and ruining (as it turned out in the case of those laborers) and an inability to deal with this unanticipated change can leave one with a hollow feeling.
